LITEVA

Lighting Interieur TExtile for Autonomous Vehicle

In a context of complexification of the HMI (Human Machine Interface) in the car, it is necessary to ensure the safety of the occupants of autonomous vehicles to develop appropriate alerts. They must attract the attention of the driver, allow him to identify the nature of the danger, the level of urgency of the situation and guide the driver on the action to be performed.

To do this, their location is crucial and the integration of alert in the flexible material seems more adapted to these constraints. A change of color and / or a light signal with a dynamic that makes sense in relation to this problem is essential to complete other sensory interaction modalities, such as sound or haptics.

To date, there is no technical solution on the market that addresses this problem of active safety of the vehicle. The objective of the LITEVA project is to meet this need by developing new multifunctional textiles that can integrate into the interior of an automobile. It comes in the form of 4 specific objectives which are:
– Display a dynamic light signal
– Ensure a visible alert in all circumstances
– Allow the display of complex messages
– To answer to the specifications of the automobile
