FABIEN SAULAÜN, DIRECTOR OF GEMTEX

Professor Fabien SALAÜN, 48, has been appointed Director of the GEMTEX laboratory, a textile research facility attached to ENSAIT, in November 2024. This appointment marks an important step in the development and scientific direction of the laboratory, internationally recognized for its advances in textile engineering and industrial collaborations.

Fabien is an expert in chemical functionalization of textile materials, functional polymer engineering and textile comfort. He has a solid background in advanced textile technologies. His research focuses on surface treatments, formulation, chemical grafting, polymerization, spinning, heat and mass transfer, … He is also involved in the development of ecological and circular textile solutions, a key issue in the transition to a more sustainable economy.

THE CLG: GEMTEX LABORATORY COUNCIL

The CLG is an advisory council and an internal research management tool. It serves as a forum for exchange and discussion, with the aim of fostering debate and, where appropriate, holding consultative votes. Members have been elected to represent their colleagues and to convey their ideas and proposals. The Laboratory Council comprises ex officio members and elected members.
