energy AUTONOmy of connected TEXtiles
The main goal of the project is to develop, industrialize and launch on the market a new innovative textile thanks to a self-powered smart composite fiber with detection and transmission properties. The project is about developing and launching workwear, hospital linen and professional underwear for soldiers on the market. The ambition is three-fold:
- introduce on the market a user-friendly disruptive innovation i.e. connected clothing with embedded sensors. The sensors are key elements for data collection.
- transfer information from sensors to a device that will centralize and process data
- to supply sensors and actuators with the necessary energy
The consortium wishes to develop a major innovation that stems from embedding self-powered sensors directly within the fibers.
