Theme 1: Implementation of flame retardant (FR) textile: (a) development of FR agents by microencapulation process, (b) development of FR nanocomposite formulations for fiber by melt spinning, (c) development of FR coating, (d) development of bio-based FR textile
Theme 2: Implementation of textile with controlled release of active substances: (a) development of microencapulation processes, (b) development of bio-based formulation
Theme 3: Implementation of protective textile against mechanical aggressions (development of cut and stab resistant knitting structures)
Theme 4: Implementation of connected knitting structures (integration of conductive yarns and sensors)

2014-2020 – Participation to European program « SMDTex » ERAMUS-MONDUS project (Sustainable Management and Design for Textiles). Participation to the supervision of 4 PhD in joint supervision with Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and Soochow University (China).
2014-2019 – Participation to the project « IOTFETMOV » (Fetal Movement Monitoring by Internet of Things and Smart Clothing), with university hospital center of Lille, Hangzhou Dianzi University (China) et Jiangnan University (China) – leader on the development and the characterization of knitted structures with targeted mechanical and electronic properties – Funding: ANR France – China.
2010-2014 – Participation to the project « INTIMIRE » (Development of textile products with improved fire performance) – leader on the fire reaction of materials – Funding: Europe 7e PCRD (Research for SME Associations) and Nord-Pas de Calais
2010-2013 – Scientific co-coordinator of the project « BIOCOMPALFA » (Implementation and characterization of biosourced composite materials). Program of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (Mediterranean Inter-University Scientific Research Project), with the Faculty of Sciences of the Mohamed Premier University of Oujda (Morocco) and the University of Sciences and Technology Mohamed Boudiaf of Oran (Algeria).
2009-2013 – Scientific coordinator of the project « INTUMAT » (Development of INTUmescent polyester fibers for the manufacture of textile covering materials) coordinated by ALSTOM Transport – Funding: National (DGCIS) and Nord-Pas de Calais Region. Co-supervision of a doctoral thesis.
2004-2008 – Participation in 2 « ECOS NORD » projects (Evaluation-orientation of Scientific Cooperation – Program of scientific and university cooperation with Spanish-speaking America) with the University of Antioquia (Medellín, Colombia) – Reinforcement of fibers and elastomer by nanofillers.
